Proposed name change for reality TV

Let's all quit calling it Reality TV. That name has a bad rep now.
How about "unscripted television"? I like that a lot better.

1. I could go along with that

A little sick of all the reality TV haters, eh? Me too. I hate when people lump them all together as horrible. Survivor and Paradise Island are nothing alike. :D

Most of the good ones are just game shows.
Survivor, Amazing Race, and Big Brother are nothing but elaborate game shows.

3. True -- they are game shows
|
To me, "reality show" means something like The Real World on MTV. They aren't competing or strategizing, they are just living their lives and we get a peek into what happens when a bunch of strangers start living together.
What do you classify The Bachelor as? It is just an extended The Dating Game, so is that a game show?
I like "unscripted" better since these shows don't really reflect reality and drawing the line between reality and game show makes me confused. LOL! :P

I'd call the various dating shows just that. Dating shows.
Fox shows would simply be referred to as shit.

Paradise Island, My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance, My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss, The Rebel Billionaire, and coming soon.... Who's My Daddy? (or something to that effect).
Those are the ones I can think of at the moment. Who watches that crap? I must admit, I did watch Joe Schmo 1 & 2 on Spike TV. It was so ridiculous I couldn't help myself!
Have you seen the previews for the new UNSCRIPTED TV shows coming up? The Contender on NBC with Sylvester Stallone and the Martha Stewart-type show "Wickedly Perfect" on CBS.
(While looking for the title of that last show on CBS's site, I found this: THE NEXT GREAT ROCK STAR (working title) Are you a singer/songwriter with a passion for rock and roll? Find out how you could become the next lead singer of the rock group INXS. oh good grief!)

8. I have to admit I watched all those

actually the Rebel Billionaire is pretty good, kind of a cross between The Amazing Race and The Apprentice. The others were pure crap but I still watched them, :spank: I think though that the Daddy one will have to go on without me, that is really bottom of the barrel.
