| New series on Discovery Channel: "Top Shot "... what do you guys think? |

It's on Hulu.com for anyone to watch if interested.
It's like a reality/competition based game. Two teams composed fo various weapons and marksman experts (marines, competition shooters, etc...) and there are challenges. They will compete with weaponry from different time periods all throughout history. If they perform poorly they risk getting voted off the island (survivor-style). Overall I thought the first episode was pretty good. Although the contestants all seem like mature level-headed normal people... so the producers are going to have to try and force any "drama".
What do you guys think? I'm rooting for the younger kid (long range rifle competitor) or the asian guy (USPSA competitor). Next week previews say the competitions will be pistol-based... should be interesting. I won't spoil anything in the first episode for you guys... :)

I watched it as it aired, and the morons ran a preview of the next episode, making it clear who would be losing the current episode. I was really unhappy about that. I may opt to not watch it live anymore.
As mentioned in other threads, Colby from Survivor is hosting. Not really a big fan of his, but a lot of people seem to like him, so I'm happy he's got a hosting gig. Hopefully he'll figure out his own style soon, and not rely on copying Jeff Probst so much.

Very interesting show. We like the minimal drama, although the "no secret ballots" thing could produce some drama. Interesting challenges, too. I like the cheesy exploding targets.
We, too, are pulling for the young kid. He did a nice job with that elimination challenge.
Colby is still finding his way as a host. He tends to channel Jeffrey a bit too much, but there are worse things he could do as a host than emulate the best reality show host out there.
