| Dexter - Season Six - Episode Two - Spoilers |
|
Another really good episode. A lot of focus on Deb in this one, first asshole finally proposes and it freaks her out. Then she finds out they want to give her the promotion to LT over Batista. When she gives asshole her No answer he gets pissed and kicks her out, then leaves and she let out "oh, and I'm your new boss" to the empty room in just the perfect way, a fucking riot :D Batista takes it good when Deb pulls him aside and lets him know, so they clean up any potential mess there and it is fitting with his character, predictable but well played.
Meanwhile with Dexter, he has his eyes on a new guy, Brother Sam (Mos Def), that he was previously going to go after but who went to prison before he got him. Seems though the guy is now a preacher of sorts and manages to convince Dexter (for now only, I bet) that he has turned over a new leaf and really does repent. So Dexter kills another random bad guy.
They give a little more on Olmos and his assistant, showing how much control he has over him... What a sicko he's playing, it's great :D
Also, Masuka is a teacher on the side this season and now has a wicked hottie assistant that is now aware of how much of a perv he is, haha, great stuff, you just know this is going to be some great comic relief this year as Masuka gets twisted into knots.
Lots of good stuff, another quality episode.

be a figment of this guys twisted mind? I wonder. Not sure they would do that, we already have imaginary Harry.

| 2. That is a very interesting thought... |

I think Olmos was driving in the first episode though... or maybe I remember wrong... I think I'll go back through the scenes with these two guys again and see if this could hold up because that could end up being pretty cool :D

| 3. He still hasnt had interactions with anyone but Travis... |
|
now we know he is a real person, but I still wonder if Travis may have killed him and is imagining him now. I am a little disappointed in the last couple of episodes. It seems to be dragging a bit and Quinn is REALLY getting on my nerves. Too much of Debra questioning herself. not enough Doomsday. I do think it is about to get crazy!

Gellar is dead! It will be interesting to see at what point he was killed. I was thinking that maybe Travis killed Gellar after his sister was killed, but in watching the interview with the director, it sounds like Gellar was never there at all. And amazing that they didn't tell any of the cast members, other than Olmos, that Gellar was not there, so as to get the actors to act as if he WAS there. Poor Dexter, he tries to give the benefit of the doubt to people--the guy that killed Brother Sam and Travis--but then he has to kill them in the end.

I tend to figure things out well before the end of a story. I acquired the skill in English Composition my first year of college. The only show I usually can't figure out is House. Although, I usually know where the answer will come from. I didn't see the director's comments, but it is neat to know the others didn't know. I love Dexter. :loveya: :loveya: I hate when it gets close to the end.   I hate when he gets careless, like his trek to friggin Nebraska and telling people what he does. Well at least I know it will be on for 2 more seasons, so he is gonna have to get caught at some point. I am reading the second novel in the Dexter series. The books are a bit different.

Remember in the prior episode where he sees him and is upset that now Geller has seen him?

| 9. I don't think Dexter actually saw Gellar |
|
Dexter was facing Travis in the church and asked where Gellar was. Travis looked up at the choir loft(?) and it seemed like maybe a shadow moved--or not--, but there was no one there when Dex looked up. I guess he just assumed that Gellar had been there and seen him because of Travis looking up there.
