Survivor--Enough already PLEASE!!!

What is with all the praying??? In the prayer circle before the immunity challenge I literally put my hands over my ears so I didn't have to listen to all the "father lord Jesus" ranting. Then after, when Coach was frantically dragging his tribe mates and pushing them down on their knees to 'thank you father', I was expecting them to start rolling on the ground, and speaking in tongues. I don't care if they are devoted to the religion/belief of their choice, but this is ridiculous. Plus if you believe in prayer I think acting in this way--begging god to help you win a survivor challenge to see an Adam Sandler movie????--cheapens the whole concept. (And yes, I know losing also meant going to tribal council) And Coach with crosses painted all over his face/body....what a hypocrite.
Poor Ozzy....he's such a cutie, but really is clueless. Didn't anyone from Savaii that has gone to the redemption duels pick up on the fact that Christine HATES her former tribe? Maybe it's edited so that we would see it, but they didn't. Even Jeff mentioned that Mikayla was getting help during the duel, but there was none for Christine. Well, I hope that Ozzy can pull it off, it would be a big play. Had to laugh at the preview clip with Woody, I mean Cochran, talking like a mob guy.
Now I'm PRAYING that Upolu will lose big time, or start eating each other at least.

Agreed it is a wicked stupid move, Christine has been obvious that she will not go back to her old tribe. I also have to give a big WTF? to Coach, revealing the idol there was also wicked stupid... well, revealing it at all was stupid, he should have kept that a secret.
The whole prayer thing has been an annoyance to me in almost every Survivor I've watched but this year it is the worst since those praying are such huge hypocrites with it. At least the asshole last season (the one that spent all that time on redemption island) seemed to really believe his shit.
Bye Bye Mikayla, you could have done a lot better. She could do pretty good in challenges and I think would have given some a good run after the merge but she never did anything really for an alliance.

IMO that's all show to keep Brandon in line. Coach has always done the pseudo religious thing, but he's kept it mostly to himself. Brandon's rampant fundie-ism and emotional instability is a real problem, but they need him for challenges and numbers.

4. Coach is obnoxious. It isn't all about Brandon

Him praying while "alone" in the surf doing his tai chi shows it's not just for show for Brandon, imho.

Of course, Coach is obnoxious, and has always done the lone wolf praying show. But this week, he used the God card to boost morale for his tribe. It wasn't masterful, but Brandon is so caught up in his own little good and evil world drama that he totally bought into it. I have no doubt a lot of this was real on Coach's part (at least to the extent that the Coach persona is real). I saw all the God Squading as tribe control, however.

5. Same here. I can't stand it. I FF thru those awful parts

Although I have to laugh at the complete cluelessness of Brandon praying to God to help them find an IDOL!!! LOL that was too rich! Especially when he was convinced that God indeed answered his prayers.
Hmmm, I thought God absolutely detested idols?

I always read Dalton Ross' Survivor recap the day after the show. (He apparently goes to the set and interviews the contestants before the game starts, and has a weekly Q & A with Probst about the most recent episode. ) Today he has some interesting comments about how the day before the game started, Ozzy was discussing the possibility of going to RI on purpose as part of his strategy . So this was in Ozzy's mind for awhile. Here's a link to the article and interview w/Ozzy http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/09/07/survivor-south-pacific-ozzy-lusth-redemption-island/

My wife and I sat there in total disbelief (she's a believer, I'm a recovering believer) that these people would think that their God really gives a flying fuck about who wins an immunity challenge in a game where the victor takes home $1,000,000.00
I have had just about enough of that shit..
The part that I think will set up one hell of a confrontation though is the praying for the idol- we found the idol - god is great because we found the idol after praying for it - bit...I have a sneaking hunch that Brandon might just go postal on Coach about that whole set-up...
I am still bewildered that no-one has picked up on the fact that Christine hates her former tribe with a passion...she would be an asset to Savaii if/when she came back...I think Ozzy just set himself up for another big fall...again...
Adam Sandler promos? Really? Wow...
