| Ignore this if you are an Edwards supporter without sense of humor |

Low blow found on conservative blog but I have to admit I got a laugh out of it, and couldn't totally disagree: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AE847UXu3Q

| 2. This is not really fair - it is obviously getting ready for an interview |
|
It is a low blow. (that said it is funny that his hair looks the same after everything.

| 4. Though I'm angry with Edwards' Escariot act now, I just don't like this type of thing. |
|
It's too easy to attack ANYONE preparing to face a tv camera, and his hair does have that boyish thing of falling in his face, so he has little recourse.
I'd prefer to hold him to account for sticking close to McAuliffe in his quest to blame Kerry when it was McAuliffe's fault the DNC was so poorly prepared for 2004, just as they were for 2002 and 2000.

| 5. Obviously meaningless attack, but funny |
|
Of course anyone of either party could be filmed like this before an interview so it is a meaningless attack.
Still, it was funny, and in Edwards case there is some truth to the implied attack since he lacks the substance of most Presidential candidates.

| 6. I know - and I get the humor aspect...just that JK gets so many attacks against him |
|
that are meaningless, too, and I come down on the side of consistency in that I don't like frivolous attacks on anyone, especially when there is so much serious business to attend to, and REAL attacks to counter.

|
appreciate an occassional guilty pleasure. What the hell it is funny to see someone besides Kerry and Bush it once in a while.

| 11. That's why I limited it to here |
|
It was tempting to put it up on Liberal Values, but I decided it could come across as a Kerry supporter vs. Edwards attack, in which case it wouldn't really be fair. I figured we could enjoy it here, recognizing that, regardless of how anyone personally feels about Edwards, this is all for a laugh and not a meaningful attack on him.

or something like that. It's out there now. Let's see Edwards make it go away in 30 seconds.

| 8. For me, this is not an attack on Edwards. Instead, this is a glimpse |
|
into the political world which includes frequent appearances on TV. Can you imagine if Edwards or any other politician went on TV and their hair was sticking out all over the place? They'd be the laughing stock of all the nightly comedy shows.
It also reminds me of the beginning of Fahrendheit 9/11 when they showed Bush and all his cabinet getting their hair done before TV appearances.
To me, politicians have much in common with any other celebrity. The difference is that they're held to a much higher standard, where they have to hide the fact that they do really need to make sure they look good before a TV appearance.
P.S. -- Love the song "I feel pretty". Once in a great while the Right Wing bring their sense of humor with them. This is one of those times. This is a documentary representing ALL politicians who are, in fact, TV stars.

| 12. I agree, and I think it would be funny with any other person. |
|
JK included. It's kind of a funny, if necessary, situation. The song is just cute and silly. I think it can be viewed in a lighthearted way, and isn't necessarily making some comment on Edwards as a person.

OK, OK, I understand the circumstances, and that most everyone would look rather ridiculous, but still... He looked foppish and silly, I particularly appreciated the biting and licking of the lips at the end. Everybody is allowed to be catty every now and then, I hope...
