| 2. About Iran - he is such a great spokesman for this administration. |
|
Talking about how Obama is playing it smart by not giving Ahjmedawhatever and the Ayatolla a reason to point fingers at us.
How Cairo speech gave energy to the young people of the world.
You tell 'em, Kerry!

and did the same. Nice to see him out and about.
Now I hear that the next push is for health care by the good Senator.

| 5. REally happy to hear that.... |
|
Cause I've been wondering why he hasn't been on over the last week. Biden always got called on these shows whenever there was any turmoil in the world - and now it is JK's turn :)
He will do an excellent job selling health care. He is an excellent, intelligent speaker on so many subjects - with a sexy voice - glad we are finally getting to hear from him again.

| 7. Aww, man! I should get up earlier. lol |

Glad to hear it, though. The more places he can hit to help get the message out, the better!
Glad to see he'll be helping to take on health care as well (though I'm not surprised that he would). :)

| 4. We would be at a different place with Iran today if the last administration |
|
didn't miss opportunities. Lost opportunities.
Praising Iranian people, intelligent, achievements. The courage of the woman has been extraordinary.
Now on to North Korea.... Andrea asking what options we have. Kerry - we need to get tougher on sanctions.."But the truth is".. greatest threat to China - hoping that China will step up.
He did great - but looks tired (I wonder why).

| 8. Worse than lost opportunities - major steps backward |
|
At the time of 911, Iran was one of the first countries to offer condolences. They also helped when we went after Al Quaeda. They were actually less conflicted than Pakistan, which had strong links to the Taliban - their ISI was said to have been a major backer in setting the Taliban up in the first place. Iran, a Shite country, did not have links to Al Quaeda.
The same demographics that Kerry speaks of now were already seen then - the HUGE youth demographic with a large part resenting at least the strictest parts of the Islamic state. Khatami was President and was from the Pro-democracy party - though he was Islamic and within the system enough that he was allowed to run. Going into the 2005 election, Bush declared them "not free enough" - and they were not free elections - and called on those wanting "freedom" to boycott the election - leading to a landslide for Amadhinijhad. (brilliant)

| 6. I caught this earlier, by chance. |
|
What a nice surprise! He articulated his/the Admistration/our argument very well, as always. I'm glad he's getting more airtime now as well. It's about time and I can't think of a better spokesman! :)
