I think that one can make too much of the number of times anyone is on the schedule. I really doubt that Baucus, Conrad and Dodd are more influential - just that issues they were involved on required meetings. Other than Rockefeller, Kerry's number is lower than many other senior Democrats or party leaders, Reid and Durbin.
