Surprisingly fair Kerry article from Washington Times

It has what is probably an obligatory attack on Kerry towards the end which means little--you can always find someone to say something negative about any one. Beyond that, it's a surprisingly good article.

1. Just a note on that.

It was surprisingly fair. I just wanted to note that, for those who are unaware, Arne Arnesen is a progressive NH talk show radio host who very strongly backed Dean in the primary, and had nothing good to say about Kerry any of the times I heard her speak. So her comments at the end of the article should be taken with a large grain of salt.

I saw the "holding their noses" quote. I guess Dean invented that.

4. I don't concur with that.

I haven't seen any overly hostile rections to Kerry in the local New Hampshire papers. I think the 2008 race is a work in progress and Kerry has garnered a lot of goodwill since his cotatails helped elect John Lynch Governor. He still has the support of a lot of Dems in NH. As Whome said, Arnesen is not the whole of NH. (And a lot of these guys are carving out turf right now. NH is incredibly spoiled and expects leading pols who are running for Pres to kiss their behinds. Sigh! John probably didn't sign the check at the right time.)

5. Arnie is a weanie...

but I loved the part about him "spreading it around." I may be digging, but I do think it showed that people are noticing his commitment to unity in the party. I liked it. Wish they'd left off the nose holding quote though, or mentioned it earlier so the good stuff was rebutting it.
