I got a brief note from Beachmom:

Dear Mom: Please excuse Beachmom from attendance at the forum this week. She had some minor and nothing to worry about things to take care of in a brief and not-that-bad medical way. (That is none of my business.) She didn't want me (or anyone else) to fret. (You know how I worry over you people.)

Ahm, I excuse you dear. Ahm, when did I become Mom? (I thought I was kidding when I posted that.) Just don't go asking for an allowance. I have to draw the line somewhere.
