Conference all over, time to pack it up and go home. It was a phenomenal event. (Of course, how could it not be. We had a double Kerry day yesterday. SQUEEEEEE!)
I don't want to get started on the 'one damned thing after another' that will happen when I get home and forget to say this...
Senator Kerry is aware of the efforts of everyone on this site to help him on the lib-web and he is grateful to ALL of us. (Not just the few and especially not just people who have accents he is very familiar with, thank you very much.) The point was brought up that there were a lot more people on the web and that we were but a tiny segment of that group. (And that we were honored to be there and to represent the fine folks on this site and on other sites as well.)
Everyone contributes. Everyone here wants to be a postive contributor to this effort. We know that, and we told the Senator that. I spoke about the Faneuil Hall live-blog and the fact that this event involved many people, not just the ones physically in his office. It was an honor to go there and represent a group like this. It was even better to know that this group is appreciated and that it is possible to have some nice two-way communication. (Thanks to the hard work of many people who went before me. Again, I am the beneficiary of the hard work of others. God bless them.)
Anybody up for a good basking? (bask, bask, bask and SQUEE!)

| 1. So Tay, how busy was it anyway? |

I forgot Sen. Feingold was speaking today and didn't attend. (Tay ducks brickbats being thrown at her.) Ahm, I just forgot and started uploading pictures on DU instead. (Well, you good folks were on my mind. I needed to upload pics.)
Ahm, you know you've been a bit busy when you forget to attend one of the conf Keynotes and a very good Senator's speech. Sigh!

Thanks for taking the time to tell us this, TayTay. It warms my heart and makes me feel good all over. And I'm glad you and the others had an awesome time.

to her husband Dick and to all the others who went so far out of their way for us. We, quite literally, could not have done this without her.
:pals: :grouphug: :loveya: for Karen!
Oh and for everyone else. We had a blast! This group is something else. We can be serious and get things done. And we can have fun and make each other laugh all day long. That we can do both is incredible.
I love you good people! I am so glad you let me hang out here.

And thanks for giving us props; still, I also know we would have only been talking to each other, and the Senator would have largely been oblivious to our activities, had you not all stepped out of the virtual world and into the physical one to catch his attention (or to begin with, THK's). Many of us are less mobile or more limited in time, and I for one am VERY appreciative to all of you for taking the initiative. Thanks for that!!
