| It's really a shame today is NOT a fast day, because |
|
Mr. DBDB is sick and has severe vertigo, which caused him to have the dry heaves for over two hours this morning. So he hasn't had anything substantial to eat since lunchtime yesterday.
And in order to eat breakfast this morning, I had to close the bedroom door and turn the tv up loud -- I have a high tolerance for gross stuff but even I find it difficult to swallow food while listening to someone heave. Listening to the news about the killings in Atlanta's Fulton County Courthouse was bad enough.
We finally got some Antivert and Phenergan in Mr. Bones so it's probably safe for me to eat lunch in a bit but I'll probably end up eating as little today as I do when I fast.
Two more weeks and we'll all be fasting because it's Good Friday. Already! Lent has gone quickly for me this year, how's it gone for you?

| 2. Thank you. He's still sleeping so that's good. I've never had it, |
|
though I've had the bed spins that you get if you get drunk enough.
He said it's like the one time he had bed spins, drunk at 16 in Mexico.
Once in a lifetime was enough to teach each of us never to get that drunk again!

| 4. Right! With the grace of God, we |
|
may be well in a day or two and be able to use this suffering as an impetus to eating less food all the time, which would be healthier for us both, and we could increase our charitable contributions to reflect it. We keep discussing giving up meat, following the excellent example of the 35 year-old daughter who's been vegetarian since she was 17 and vegan for the last six or seven, maybe more.
Searching mind for last time I remember her being able to eat foods with cheese, or even the "world's best cornbread," as she says my cornbread is -- no cornbread now because no eggs, no milk. . . nope, can't be sure what year it was. With her on tour most of the year, we're lucky to have her with her feet under our table twice a year. Not to complain, mind you, we are the ones who raised her to be independent and follow her dream!
Peace. :hippie:

| 6. Thanks, we've had an awful time of it the |
|
past ten days but at least brain tumors and stroke have all been ruled out. Whew! So we're relieved and exhausted.
