| Let me ask a stupid question |
|
Are there any "defense of family" type organizations...and I'm not sure what I'm looking for, maybe anti-porn, pro-marriage type thing, that are NOT right wing cover groups like Dobson's? Thanks.

| 1. That's a good question. I think it's terrible |

how liberals have let te right get away with claiming they alone know what's best for families, they alone oppose porn, etc. I'll see what I can find out about groups.

| 4. Knights of Columbus is kind of a strange duck. |

The leadership spouts the Vatican line, but down on the parish level it seems to be a little different. Talk about defense of family though; did you know the K of C was founded partly to ensure that widows and orphans had some kind of insurance in case the bread winner died? This was back around 1880 when many men died young. My grandfather was orphaned at about age 14. He left school and raised himself. His two younger sisters ended up in an orphange until the day he married. That day, they came home with him and my grandmother.
