1. Too late to edit, but this hits home with me because shortly before our parish

was merged with another, the pastor found a reason to lay off the entire lay staff who were the heart of the parish.


It's rather ironic that as we hear more and more about how the laity will have to shoulder the work the priests used to do alone, we also here more and more often about some lay person getting shafted.

2. Again I shake my head

It just saddens me so much to see this sort of stuff happening in the church. I love the church but it saddens me to see the harm being done to the church by people on the inside - both ordained and laity.
