The
casket that Christina Green will be buried in came from New Melleray Abbey in rural Peosta, Iowa. The monks of the abbey crafted it for her.
Eight hours later that casket was complete and sent to Tucson.
A former customer now living in Arizona who knows the Greene family suggested a Trapist Casket.
Mulgrew said, “They like to so something as a corporal work of Mercy in a situation like this and what they can offer is a casket at no cost.”
The monks bless each casket and pray for the deceased, but this one had a lasting effect.
I'm glad the monks were able to do this thing for Christina and her family, but it makes me even more disgusted that her life was ended so early. She should not have needed a casket for many, many years.
