among the highlights -
- we should consider giving a biblical 10%
- if we have to miss Mass one week, we should be certain to mail in our envelope, anyways.
I'm working a letter to the Bishop that in light of the rampant abuse of power, the disregard of the talents given the "wrong" people (women and married men), and the wanton waste of money that I've seen, it would be very poor stewardship on my part to give a single penny more until there is extensive reform!

My brother asked me for help in getting rid of his flat panel 37in TV. It's five years old and is still in pretty good shape. Picture's still really good on it. He wants to get a new one with more than one HDMI port since HDMI switches seem to be pieces of junk. So I found someone to take it off his hands. That's right. The church. The parish jumped at the chance to get a newer TV to replace the old dinosaur they used for religious ed. That's giving something to the church, and giving something that I'm pretty sure will remain within the parish.
