he was buried from as one of the oldest parishes in the Buffalo diocese. The video on the Today Show shows several priests at the very public funeral of someone who was both a suicide and out as gay and defending the "gay lifestyle" (as some would call it.)

So, we have preists on the ground willing to support the family. Maybe if the Bishops supported gays instead of referring to them as "intrinsically disordered", Jamie would still be above the ground!
