Earlier today we ran an analysis of posting traffic in each of the DU Groups. Those DU Groups that had fewer than one post per week (13 posts in the previous 90 days) have been selected for possible deletion. (Note: DU Groups for potential 2008 presidential candidates were exempted from deletion, because we expect they will become more active sometime in 2007.)

This Group was one of the DU Groups with fewer than 13 posts in 90 days, and has been selected for deletion. The Group will be deleted if there is not sufficient interest to keep it going.

If you want this Group to remain open, please post in this thread to let us know. The deadline for posting is midnight Thursday June 29. If at least ten people post in this thread to support the Group, it will remain open. Otherwise, it will be closed.

I've often been frustrated by the glacial pace of participation in many of the forums on my forum list -- Catholics, baby boomers, Irish affairs, etc.

But ideally, I think there should be a home for all the classical music fans around here. Maybe we just need to shake things up.

I will add this back on "My Forums." And I will try to keep participating.

I'm building a library of classical music...slowly, but surely. I know I don't participate in this group (for fear of being seen as woefully ignorant) but I've come here and have gotten some great information about which composers I might be interested in.

I have listened to and been a big fan of classical music my entire life.
I especially love 20th century music and opera. Love Mozart and Bach, too.

Please give the group another chance.
