It looks a bit chilly there, but starting to green up.

it is very frozen. I had to keep putting my hands in my coat pockets to keep them from getting TOO cold. I never did learn how to use a camera while wearing gloves. These new smaller digital ones are damn near impossible to use while wearing gloves - well at least for me.

| 2. It's as if the viewer is staring from inside winter toward spring. |

Though I suppose it's still a long way off.
Beautiful shot of a much-missed place I haven't seen in years. Thanks for posting this.

I have a much larger version of it as my wallpaper. It looks like I could step right through the monitor into the park. I love Central Park and its so great that they thought of putting such a place right in the middle of Manhattan. The city would be so much more crowded and a LOT tougher place to live without that park.

that belongs to EVERYBODY. Who can imagine NYC without Central Park? I lived there decades ago, and I am still attached to Riverside Park. I went to Google Earth to check the photos, and my heart skipped a beat viewing some of the photos.
There should be a park on every corner, and a larger one in every square mile. Everyone living in an urban environment needs practically daily exposure to parks.
Love it that the lake is frozen.
