3. Oh, I know. I couldn't believe he was so close

and evidently not paying much attention to what was going on five six away. We saw a young couple and their child stopped on the trail looking off to the side and assumed maybe they were checking out a moose or something, but then as we drew up next to them, we could see this guy busily pecking away and glancing over at us every now and then, totally unconcerned. He's a beautiful specimen.
