1. What a great series!

These are so dramatic and vivid.

I like the dog picture a lot. At first s/he looks ferocious, but then after a minute s/he looks just curious.

2. Photos 1 and

4 are very nice...especially 1 which is a very nice composition.

The other two are blown out in areas (too light and detail is totally lost) and that's a pet peeve of mine probably because it was a pet peeve of my photography instructors and the lab instructor. :-)

3. Love the dog pic.

Good exposure on the dog. The sky is blown out as a result, but that does not matter since there is nothing important there in this case.

6. at times we make choices, Bring in the background and never

see the DOG or let the background land where it does and get the hound.. You can't have both, and if one thinks one could, They are wrong..

8. Well, yes, you can have both

but it takes work either in a dark room or Photoshop or the use of a filter when you take the photo.....I often used a circular polarizing filter with my SLR. Unfortunately, the digital camera I have isn't set up for filters. I hope to purchase one that I can.

4. Must have been a great

event to attend, and a great event to photograph.

My favorite is your last picture. The sky seems to echo the mood of the rally.

I love these. I tried to take some pictures of our Tea Party protests here, but I got too disgusted and had to leave. :(
