1. Posterize it a bit and see what happens

It's almost there as is.

3. There's actually some nice detail

in the water when you take the exposure down. Nice composition.

4. I took some similar photos with a more normal exposure,

but this one sort of conveys the bright sun and intense heat of this particular day. I think you and I were discussing the other day that I normally tend to underexpose in bright light to prevent this kind of accident, but sometimes the mistakes turn out pretty cool in an artsy sort of way.

5. I like mistakes that turn

out well. One of my favorite little photos is from a tiny cropped out portion of a photo gone bad because of the wind and sun.
