2. That's an outdoor outhouse

That's all most people use the interstate rest stops for. Apparently there was a one room schoolhouse there at one time, that's all that remains.

Too bad about the schoolhouse.

Long, long time ago when we would go to the farm, one of the late night stops along the way was an outhouse built for travelers. We had to travel some way, way back roads to get to the farm. Toads everywhere.(at the outhouse)

There's a gas station there now, I'm told. Been a long time since those days...
