1. I'm envious, good shot
Nothing but clouds here. I've never taken a moon shot that I've been satisfied with yet anyway.

3. Thanks...Luck. First time I tried it and am just learning.
Have to say I took a lot of shots but what I really wanted was to get the evergreen branches along with the moon. I couldn't get the exposure right if it's even possible to do. If I used a long exposure for the branches then the moon was washed out. I know people do it but I couldn't figure it out.

4. Spot metering, f stop around f8 and playing with exposure compensation
seems to work for me. A tripod and timer or shutter release come in handy.

6. A full moon isn't near as interesting as other phases. The shadows
of a half moon are much more interesting.

My camera is pitiful, but I finally figured it out. Many astro photographers use stacking to give the image some punch and more detail.

8. I've resisted using that technique. Don't know why.
