just can't get enough of these little purple and white guys before I have to mow them

1. I think those are violets
as opposed to pansies or pansy violets. They should have a wonderful scent. Pansies don't smell so much.

I think they are wild violets also, and I love them! They are thought of as weeds around here. People have the gall to want them out of their yards and they actually poison them. Ugh. We are not a very smart species to go around poisoning wild violets. :(

3. They are Viola bicolor
which, of course makes them violets... the common name is Field Pansy or Johnny Jump Up, I prefer the former
