A new example - a bit different - I see them everywhere now.

I can't decide which I like better, so I'll just leave them both. But I think I like the first one best.

This was a baby owl, who along with her brother, posed for me without a care in the world. And the next day, when I showed up on my bike at about the same time of day, they came back out of their tree for a repeat performance.

1. What a wonderful experience. I love the second one, he/she stands
out much better...and the eyes. The eyes in the second one are so bright and alert. In the first one, he/she looks curious.

2. Those look like Screech Owls. They are very small.

you can see the "ears" in the second image. There's a lot of variation in Screech owls. If it was under 10" it was probably a Screech Owl.
