but I am not familiar with these tubers, although fascinating, and certain worthy of the "negative space" photo contest.

Oh my gosh . . . I could inundate this forum with food/farmers market/veggie photos, but I will exercise refrain. :rofl:

4. I have a shot ready to go for negative space.
It is a black and white actually shot on film. I hope I understand the idea of negative space correctly because I don't see it in this photo.

I believe that they are some kind of potato - I didn't notice what the name was I just thought that they looked so "alien" :-)

5. They look like
sweet potatoes or yams that haven't had their roots removed. That would be my guess.
