I'm also a big fan on Ralph Gibson I really like his work.

Also thanks for reminding me that I needed to put Leica Gallery on my things to do list today.

4. in the late sixties I had a chance to buy a Leica with a

suitcase of goodies, including a setup for candid wildlife IR. He wanted $200, but I was strapped for cash at the time and he sold it to some NCO.

I later was offered a Graflex, but I had suspicions that it was stolen Army property.

8. Me too, but they are all made in Eastern Europe, so I can't

vouch for their reliability. A bolt strips and no telling what century or epoch you will be dumped into.

Thanks Alfredo, if I were a wealthy person I would now drop my camera off the deck and go out and buy a Leica since that is apparently what it takes to take such out of this world photos.

3. Get good glass. That's cheaper than a Leica. Unless you

are making large prints, you don't need that degree of resolution.

5. Voightlander is another good option.

I would consider a Micro 4/3 camera just for the Voightlander 25mm f0.95

7. I am thinking of the Sony NEX, or some other APSC sensor

camera. It has to be light and unobtrusive.

This looks nice. The Ricoh GXR with the A12 28mm module looks like a very powerful compact. It's as ugly as homemade sin, but the more people have had time to use and review this camera, the better it looks.

9. I wouldn't touch the Ricoh

with a 10 foot pole and neither will any third party accessory or lens manufacturer which means you will be locked into Ricoh world for the life of this camera, take it from someone who lives with Sony's rather frustrating need to design accessory connection points that bare no resemblance to anything the rest of the industry uses.

10. The Ricoh is way too expensive, and the A12 28mm

is the only one that I'd consider.

The Sony has very good IQ, but the flash attachment, and no EVF are marks against it.

I do available light so a flash is not that important to me. I like the LCD that would enable me to use it like a twin lens reflex. I do a lot of stealth shots.

The Olympus E Pl2 looks like the best all around in this price range.

If the Samsung had better high ISO performance I would consider it.

The Fujifilm X100 would be nice at half the price.

But I can't ever see myself getting that "in your face", I tend to go more with the subject interacting with their environment.

He has very good conversational skills and an imposing presence. "Thank you" seems to be his secret weapon.
