And look for the thread to submit photos. The guidelines will be in the thread, eg, size of photo, etc. Your photo may have to be resized. Usually some photo editing with simple software is allowed. More details will be in the thread. You could do a search for past submission threads also.
Welcome to the Photo Group!

there are the seasonal contests. "Scenes of ________." Insert season. Submit your photograph that you think captures the feeling, look, spirit of the season.
It's run just like the regular contests except that the winner doesn't have to host the next seasonal contest.
Welcome! :hi:

it's not Spring here yet. At least it doesn't feel like it, or look like it. We've been consistently running 20 degrees below normal for weeks, and there's been almost no sun. I guess I'll sit this one out.

| 5. It doesn't feel like it here, either... |

I went out to the car this evening to find a light coating of snow. This is tulip festival month up here, and the festivals will have ended (and the harvesting begun) before peak bloom.
Oh, well. Since I'll be handling the contest by myself this time around, I wouldn't be entering anything no matter what.

Like some others, there hasn't seemed to be much of a spring so far. It's been raining hard a lot here. I don't mean the gentle spring showers. Heavy rain, a few days with hail, and mostly dreary weekends. The most annoying thing was the one weekend that was partially really nice. I grabbed my camera and extra battery and headed out to shoot some spring photos. I started taking photos and noticed my battery was only about 1/3 charged. I drained that battery and switched to the other one...which I had apparently forgotten to charge after the last outing. So my photo session ended early. The next day, it was raining hard.
