Wacky place I saw and I called a barn. Silly me.
We passed this as I was visiting in a tiny place called Pinnacle in the NC countryside, riding in a customer's truck as we looked at a job.
Can you imagine how I all but jumped out of my seat?

Once I was back in my own truck I made my way back to it and here are a few photos of what NC can show you on a Southern Vacation.

At a time like this it's so great to know I have friends here who will look at them with me and get a kick out of seeing them.

Arriving and seeing well done countryfied and creative installations

This proves I can't be too far from WannaJump, in local, not ability

Snooping around the back door

Looking up at the front and remembering a lesson or two from "Negative space"

Arresting ancient sign nailed up on the siding

And finally a full frontal view of what I've been circling

I suspect I'll be forced to post a few more tomorrow.
They'll be different because in my snooping I really did find a few barns...

1. What a find.
Love it!!! What is it with bottle trees? Seems like they are everywhere. I like the whirligig thing best though all the photos are wonderful.

4. There are wonderful subject everywhere!
And I'm so glad you took the time and went back to snap these photos! I love riding around the countryside and really "looking."

That barn is the best! Look at all those signs! What a great collection. And OMG! Look at that old washer.

I will patiently wait for chapter 2 of Mira's road trip! ;-)

5. Wow!
Self expression PLUS!!

There is that smiley face! Love the wrong way upside down. Someone had fun with this, um, storage area??

The finishing touch is the gas pump. This is modern day folk art. That is distinguished from folk art only by the To I-40 sign.

You need to get more photos of this when the light is just right, and then it should go in some sort of coffee table book!

6. Thank you very much- to all five ladies -
I'll post a few more of this one then a little later, since you like it and seem to be studying it.
I did not have me best camera with me and once up at the barns there were weird noises and I got a little spooked since being still impaired I don't trespass as well as I ordinarily do.

Glad to see you're still able to check in, Solly Mack!
