The Spider in Awe of the Flower

I used a Graphic Novel filter, then adjusted from there. On this image I couldn't get the spider to pop out, so I rejected reality and went for some filter effects to make the image something completely different. Knowing when to stop is the lesson to be learned. I stopped here.

suggestion that "knowing when to stop is the lesson to be learned" rang true for me... in my post processing and my fabric arts. I find that often that is my shortcoming... not knowing when to stop (and once you cut fabric, it is often too late :( )
Your photo shows that you knew when to stop! and as a great fan of spiders and other crawly things, I love it!

2. I like that image. It has a dystopia feel about it. I was raised

by an upholster. Fabric, hog rings, Pffaf, naugahyde, and tack hammers, were what put dinner on the table and a roof over our heads.

3. Hard monochrome. My favorite black & white tone

Very nice. I really like this. The spider is part of the entire image. A subtle part. Very cool.
