Just got back from Best Buy. They have a big sale on cameras.
I saw the Lumix GF2 and Samsung NX 100 for $500. The Olympus EPl1 was $399. They have the Sony NEX 3 and 5, but I didn't note the prices. They said the Sony NEX is starting to sell well.

This sale lasts for a week, but I'm not sure when the sale ends.

The Samsung and Lumix are beautiful. The grip on the Lumix is smaller than what I am used to, and the Samsung grip is not as slick as I thought it would be, though I didn't check it with sweaty hands. Some black handlebar tape would fix that. Do they still make cloth handlebar tape?

I was about to start my own on new cameras. I'm living in a pretty gritty neighborhood this summer, and need a point and shoot I can carry about, with good low light performance. I was hoping to keep it under $300. Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure you can still get the cloth tape.

4. The Samsung EX1/TL500 is a very good camera you can find at
Around $400. You might find a good used or refurb for a song.

8. I have the G10. Love it. Right now I am dealing with a dirty
sensor.

eBay has a good selection of G9's and G10's in that price range.

The G11 has IR.

10. I did it. I bought an Olympus EPl1 for $400. It's a beauty.
What did it for me was the hand grip.

11. Nice! Now go forth and shoot!
I think I'm leaning towards a Nikon 9100 - I need a pocket camera.:)

I don't really need a pocket camera, I need less lag time, and better low light
Performance. Maybe by this time next year I will have a Lumix pancake lens to go with it. I have a Yashinon 50mm f1.9 to use as a portrait lens.
