2. Great photos, and beautiful costumes!
I particularly like photo 3, where the actor is taking a bow. The joy on her face lets us know that she is very pleased with her performance.

4. Thanks, Callalily.
This is a sumptuous production of a 17th century French opera by Lully. All of the people in the photos are singers (except for the second to last picture with dancers). The woman in the third photo sings the role of the goddess Cybèle, whose love for Atys has tragic consequences.

5. Unimaginable to be PART of something this spectacular and to be able to
shoot from the Orchestra Pit. That is what you did, right?
It's almost a karmic feeling of deja vu all over again to see these costumes done so incredibly well. And your photographs of the principals with the row of others behind them are simply to die for.

Well done, Trusty Elf, and I can tell you were having (again) the time of your life.
Thank you for these. I am enriched.

8. Yes, I was shooting from the pit!
I sit in the middle, between the two harpsichords...and when the conductor goes up on stage,

I move to his seat in the center to take pics. :D

Here's a photo of the setup, taken a few weeks back during rehearsals.

This really is a superb production! I'm definitely enjoying it.

Glad you enjoyed the photos! I took a few more nice ones this evening. :)
