2. I really like the first one.

And the last one 'screams' black & white. I'm curious: how as the '1' been at high ISO's? Or, have you not tried that yet? The demo pics I've seen online have been easy to fix using a 'bread and butter' noise removal filter.

I'm still waffling between that camera and the Horizon Perfekt. I'm leaning back towards the EPL1 after seeing your photos. I like the size. Not too big-not too small. Nice street photography camera. I just wish they did a pop-up viewfinder of some kind. I have such a hard time using the LCD to frame/focus/snap a picture.

3. Bright light is the enemy of the LCD. Many of my shots in

brilliant light were guesses. Next year I will have an EVF.

You can do lomography in software. An interchangeable lens camera gives you more flexibility.


You can adjust noise in camera, but it will smear detail if you have a heavy hand. I would get the Olympus, then save up for the Horizon. I haven't shot any higher the ISO 200 so far. I will be doing some low light work soon.

5. You've sold me

My local camera store sells the Olympus. I pay a little more than the Box Stores and online but they really take care of me. I have a number of Lomo cameras. I was just looking to get one with better optics. I even have a Holga and Diana lens for my SLR's. Think I'll stay with what I have and go with the Olympus. Thanks!

6. Olympus has been in the digital camera market for a long

time. It shows too.

Be sure to hold it and play around with it a bit to make sure it fits your hand.

BTW, I got my M42 adaptor today. I love it.

7. I love my Olympus cameras

My DSLR is an old E-500, & my P&S is a Stylus 720SW, both old, but really serviceable. Olympus makes quality products. I wish I could afford newer versions.

8. I think the industry is going through some dramatic changes

that will bring quality cameras to a wider audience. That will mean lower prices for a given feature set.

My EPl1 was gotten for a song because it was an older model. It was $100 cheaper than my Canon G10.

4. I tried the the Night Scene (SCN) in daylight and it produced a

more saturated image. Macro Nature also in SCN, isn't restricted to closeups. The Pinhole in the Art filters can emulate lomo, but I would rather use the Lomo plugin in GIMP because it gives you more options.

My M42 to micro 4/3 adaptor should be here today. So should my polarizing filter and UV filter. I can't wait!.
