1. Please tell me this is a joke
I'm guessing that you don't live north of the Mason Dixon line. Sad. :(

Is this a national veterans cemetery or just a garden variety cemetery?

3. Too many died then
And too many continue to die.

But, those aren't American flags. Just how I see it, but I haven't lived in that culture so I just don't understand it. Yes, dead is dead and whatever you stick in the ground next to a hunk of stone really doesn't matter that much.

4. I see this as the only appropriate use
of that flag. Kids going off to war are all the same, especially 150 years later and buried in the same dirt.

6. It's a good photo. It tells a story
I'll leave it at that. I can only hope that 150 years from today that the word "war" is only used in a historical context. At our local national veterans cemetery there is a burial an average of every 45 minutes. Boggles the mind.

5. I like the way you
took this photo WJMS. You are also right about it being the only appropriate use of that flag and it is the one they died for. Also not a bad way to remember what can happen when the country becomes so divided. Glad you posted it and hope you don't get too much flack over it.
