Does anyone know how to do a photo restoration?

Pic is from circa 1967...faded photograph. I'd like to have it restored. It is a color picture.

1. I've had some pretty good results

using Photoshop CS5. It's a tedious process most of the time. I restored a photo of my father-in-law that was in bad shape.

4. Most of the Epson stand alone scanners come with

Pretty adequate automatic restoration software. I find it gets 80%-90% of the work done, the finale work can be done with photoshop

There are lots of good places that do it for a fee. I'd suggest going that route which I think has already been mentioned.

I only do it now with photos that have some connection/memory for me. It helps with the boredom of restoration. A pro doesn't care. They just restore the photo and go onto the next one. Lots of these places will have before and after images so you can see their work.
