they will have to invent a new sensor for it to work, the mock ups on the website are simulations?

don't know, could be the next great thing, more likely will be lost to time in a year

8. They've already invented the sensor

In the New York Times article about this technology they said that they had people using the prototype cameras, so they had the working sensors in a generic black box.

10. It's not entirely 'new' technology

In very simple terms it is sending light through a multi-lens before it hits the sensor. You can read the geek report on early development of this technology:
