Two Flowers

These were under the top canopy of flowers. They're waiting their turn in the sun.
I use a tripod, and use a free hand, a knee, or stick to stabilize the stem. The stick braced against the ground works where the other methods are not practical. There were light gusts of wind, but not too bad, but still any wind when using a Macro is a game of chance, even if the subject is stabilized. What attracts me to cone heads in this stage is the "green fog" punctuated with red spikes.

3. If you are going to do low light or macro, yes, you should be

a whole bunch of them and line them up in the diningroom and decorate them with crepe and pork rinds.

is my wallpaper on my laptop. I love to see the sisters and brothers of the one that lives with me.:)

4. Thanks. Here is one that was a revelation about flowers.

See the "fur" on the petals? It dawned on me that they are there to transfer pollen from the pollinator's body to the flower.
