1. I nearly got one when I was in the Army. Ended up with a

Pentax Spotmatic. The Pentax was much more portable, used 35mm film, and was a lot cheaper.

Here's a used one that's a bit cheaper. It's film, not digital.

A digital back medium format camera is pure fantasy stuff for me. I'd love to find a digital back for the Mamiya 645 but they are still waaaaay out of my cash range.
