| For flash photography, are the terms "Slave" & "Master" still used? |
|
I'm an old school photographer and those were the terms they used. The other day I was at the camera store and the salesman (who was black) was helping me set up my flash. I mentioned that the built-in flash was going to be the master and the hand held one was going to be the slave. I was a little embarrassed but it didn't phase the salesman a bit. Kind of a funny moment. I guess maybe I'm too PC.

| 2. Yes, they are still used. |

You will also see a lot of references to "commander" and "remote".
