| Anyone shooting the Persieid meteor shower tonight? |
|
I'm packing up my gear this afternoon and heading 2 hours out of the city lights.
Hopefully good things turn out.
Anyone else?

| 2. Thanks for the heads up! |

I'll spend the night outside on my deck. We're at 4500 ft with no nearby light pollution so maybe I'll get luck and see a good show.

Tonight vs tomorrow night: weather is better tonight.
Seattle is too bright, but 90 miles away on I-90 looks promising.
Unfortunately there is a full moon....

Might as well have turned on a floodlight.

The location was good. No clouds; a tad windy (probably why there is a wind farm there...). The full moon was WAY too bright for the most part. Saw 11 meteors between 12:30 and 3:15, but got none on camera.
