last night (ok actually early this morning,about 2am) I was up and saw it was clear out so I thought I'd try something. I took my 300mm lens ans a 2x teleconverter outside and pointed it at jupiter to see what happened.

#1 1/50 at f5.6 iso 3200
#2 1/10 f5.6 at iso 800
#3 1/1000 at f5.6 iso 800
#4 1/1000 at f5.6 iso 800 but slightly different Post processing
there was no way i was able to get the clouds and the moons in a single exposure.. Maybe if I tried stacking images but I would need an image stackign program that works on a mac and even then since jupiter is moving across the sky,although slowly without some kind of clock drive Im not sure what success i would have
