| where is the best online place for a group of people to post photos? |
|
I'm going to a mini informal college reunion of friends and I am supposed to be in charge of the photography (??) I got stuck with that job because I made a slideshow with funny captions the last time we met. I doubt if I do a repeat of that, but just want a decent place for everyone to post their photos. Only a few of them belong to Facebook, but one option would be to form a private group there. Not sure if they will join Facebook just for that. Some may have objections to it. Google Plus? I don't know. I have an account there that I never use. I have no idea who has an account there and I know nothing about their group options. But for the photos alone, I know that Shutterfly has pretty easy groups, but that place is so commercial. I'd like for people to be able to save some reasonably sized photos from the site in case they want to do their own thing with them.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas about these or any other free, online photo sharing site for a private group?
Thanks!

You can post 200 for free. If you want to park more, it is $24 a year.

I forgot about that. I may get a Facebook page AND start a Flickr group. If people object to Facebook they can post on the Flickr group and we can put links to it from the Facebook page. Or something like that. I may experiment with the Facebook page so that the three or four people in the group that use it can experiment with it.

I like it a lot. Have made many photographer friends via Flickr - practically from the first few dozen photos I loaded.
If you join Google+, you have automatic access to Picassa.
Some people prefer Google+ to Facebook.

| 8. Photographs on Facebook aren't that great, there are a few others |
|
I use that are better. They are webshots.com photobucket.com and flickr.com.....those are ones I use, there are others. You could set up photos to share on any of those.
Good luck.
