Several years ago, I heard Spike Lee say something like "An artist defines theirself by their body of work."
That resonated with me, because I guiltily realized I could never reclaim time spent on less important things, and I knew damn well I should have been painting instead of watching tv. :)

I really like that one too, because it had been in my head for so long... it was great to get it onto canvas...

Rash and New Skin are very beautiful. They remind me a lttle of Helen Frankenthaler. Frankenthaler's painting are stylistically different but they have a similar kind of sublime grace.
I like the edgy quality of heartland. It is like the Sermon on the Mount or the Shining City Upon a Hill.
Everybody Else's Girl is alive. It reminds me a bit of Frances Bacon from the mid 50s. I am not sure about using words.
The camo shirt that you were wearing in the picture reminded me of Rash and New Skin. Your skin paintings were different from your other paintings. A self portrait in camo might be an interesting way to combine the two painting types.
