I've been wanting to take some pics of our house and garden when it's been covered in snow so I can do a painting of it... My plan is to do one of the house for each season -- the past couple of years the weather has not cooperated very well, with spring, summer and fall colors and fauna not doing very well (been too cold or wet or both)
We live in a stone house built in 1928 from field stone and timbers that were gathered from the land around the house. When we tell people where we live they nod and say "Oh yeah you live in that stone house..."

an artist that stayed a year in some cool house, with a great garden. every day she did a little painting of the garden. she experimented with many styles and media, so that no 2 of the pictures were even close to the same. it was cool. i do not remember who it was, tho.
