Is there any anime about Peak Oil?
It seems very fertile ground for all kinds of anime. Sorta post-apocalyptic, "lost technology" all over the place, strange gadgets and innovations from people just getting along on their wits. Burned-out city shells could litter the world, as in Cowboy Bebop. And all of it predicated on an environmental issue! If I had an anime production crew in my basement, this would be my next project.
