| Just watched Millenium Actress |

I was amazed at how many layers there were to the story. Basically, the history of Japan, the history of Japanese movies and the history of an aging actress all rolled up into 90 minutes. And then there were two love stories that made the story that much more interesting.
As far as animation, the thing that struck me was how real the facial expressions felt at times. There's also a bonus feature about the making of Millenium Actress that shows how much work was actually put into the film.
