Looking for some simple, simple, simple

The selection at Michaels is pretty limited.

What theme are you looking for? Some places carry iron-on patterns similar to the old iron-on embroidery patterns.

I want something that has all the thread and stuff in
it alredy.

I just don't have to take two strands of this color and
a strand of that color. I always throw up my hands and
say screw it.

4. check your local listings for a "Hobby" shop, then call them

or if it's like the hobby shop by my house, they are happy to order kits for you :)

5. Do you have a scanner & printer?

Buy the counted cross stitch kits. Then buy iron on transfer paper that works with your printer. Scan the counted cross stitch charts, print & then iron on whatever you want to stitch.

If you buy beginner level kits, you shouldn't have any blending to do.

Don't throw away the counted cross stitch fabric. With all the holes in it, it works well for making sachets. You can also use it to make herbal or floral bath bags to scent your bath without having the stuff floating in your water & clogging your drain.

That way you get two projects out of one kit. Plus a lot more variety to pick from.
