| Charity Yarn and Fiber Auction |
|
I'm doing a stash auction on my blog, riverwalkyarns dot blogspot dot com. All proceeds go to charity, International Orthodox Christian Charities (for their work in southern Lebanon--they're one of the main groups there and are working on getting medical supplies to the hospitals). They're a good group--they help anyone, and they don't do missionary work, just help people. They have a long history of helping Muslims, Christians, and whomever. I know some good people in their organization, and I know they're making sure the money gets to the people, not the higher-ups.
In case anyone wants to know. Thanks!

it may be a great use for any yarn you don't get rid of  good luck and it's a great charity you picked! http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=287x3657

| 2. I'm already working on three projects for the troops. |
|
I like to do the helmet liners, so I've got one of those going (need to finish that, actually . . . ) and two pairs of socks (one's for a wounded vet, though).
The stuff I'm getting rid of won't meet military specs (I'm keep all of that). I have some local charities I think will take the rest of the yarn, actually.
I wish I could do more to support the troops. They sure are getting jerked around.
