| I finally finished a little party dress for my 3 year old granddaughter. |
I couldn't get the sleeves set in the darned thing. I have never ripped out seams so many times since I started sewing kids clothes years ago. I've set hundreds of sleeves, but these wouldn't cooperate. The material was slippery. It's made from embroidered organdy over a satin under dress with an attached crinoline. I'm just relieved to have that little dress done. It'll go out in the mail tomorrow to her. I think she'll love it cause she's into frilly frou-frou now and is quite convinced that she is a real princess because on of her middle names is Jasmine. We let her think that. For all the hassle, Mommy better take a picture of her in it for Gramma.

| 3. Sounds weird, but I've used tissue paper and even newspaper |
to sew slick materials together. Just keep in mind that newsprint will sometimes rub off on certain light-colored material.
I've also hand-sewn sleeves in, but only as a last resort, mostly to keep from balding myself. :D

| 4. Thanks for the tip. I have plenty of tissue paper around |
in my gift wrap box. I'll try that next time.
