sigh. a day spent undoing the stuff i f'ed up yesterday.

nothing complicated. just some great stuff insulation that got away from me and wreaked a little havoc.
damn i hate this. the only thing worse is duffing out and having to look at a half assed job forever.

2. or take the rest of the day off, which is what i did.

i had one of those big oh shit moments. i am working on getting all my million pieces (mine, my friends, art auction bargains, thrift shop finds) of artwork hung, and had one sitting on a little ledge in the stairway. i was walking by and i saw that it was a little too close to the window. so i moved it over, and walked on. only to be followed by a hail of broken glass. the worst part is that that is the second time the glass in the picture has been broken. it was a x-mas present from the dh.
at that point i declared myself a danger to myself and others, and sat down. did some overdue stuff on the computer.

back at job one today.

3. ok, actual progress

problems fixed, on to the next phase. prepping for some tile. hardibacker in place, tape and "mud" about 1/3 done. hope to have it all ready by the weekend, but do have a doc appt tomorrow, and will be partying at the taste of chicago on friday. fireworks from navy pier friday night.
